The CaucASIAN Beauty Project is pretty much my attempt at trying to achieve "complexion perfection" through the use of East Asian (mainly South Korean and Japanese) beauty products.
Why?
Well, after a lifetime of crappy, blotchy, freckly, bumpy, pore-y (is that a word?) less than perfect Caucasian skin, all my attempts of trying to attain poreless porcelain perfection with the use of Western beauty products seems to have been in vain :(
(hehe, get it? vain?... Yeah, that was pretty bad.. I'm sorry).
So.. I'm looking East!
Asian cosmetic brands are often synonymous with the weird and wonderful. Think snail goo and horse oil?! (sadly this means they're often not so vegan friendly). Not only that but they're often packaged and presented in the most adorable fashion, which is pretty much always a "Shut up and take my money!" moment for me, but that doesn't necessarily mean it comes at the cost of quality either! Also, they seem to focus on many of my biggest trouble areas i.e. large pores, pigment issues, saggy-ness as well as the usual fine lines and wrinkles.
The brand Tonymoly is not only one of the most adorable brands in the world, but also seems to be regarded as of high quality
(I'm hoping for big things from them!!)
So come with me on my quest for Complexion Perfection as I search for my East Asian Salvation to deliver me from the evils of my beauty woes.
I hope to have my first review up soon! What area will I be targeting first?
One of my biggest insecurities... my jiggly jowls!
Til then stay safe!
Love Lysh xo
